Important announcement! |
|
So, the reason we use this forum (which is our old forum) is to make an important announcement and our own site is still down.
After long consideration we’ve decided to take a break from raiding, which will probably last until Cataclysm. The reason we are taking this break: We are losing the fun in raiding, getting a bit burned out. I myself now have some trust issues (what do you expect when a person you’ve been raiding with for one and a half years (and to whom you have given a legendary, etc)) suddenly, out of nowhere, leaves the guild. I have been pondering about taking a break from raiding for a long while already, and the only reason I showed up to the raids is because I didn’t want to let you guys, the guild, down.
This has hardly anything to do with Yiqa leaving the guild, that was just an unfortunate event. That was, however, the pebble that set the avalanche in motion. Muun also left, Shimida quit the game, and I’m quite sure more would follow.
We know people will leave the guild, that’s perfectly understandable, you want to raid. You can leave your alt in the guild if you feel like it. If you feel like slowing things down and feel like staying in the guild that’s fine aswell. Although we quit raiding we (me, cueball) won’t be gone from the game. We will most likely organize 1 raidday/week for the people that feel like joining (still have to decide a raidday for that). You can bring whichever character you want to that raid (ofcourse not one with greens). If your main is in another guild you can join with an alt.
We will make some half pugs to see the new content aswell. (talking about that drake instance, taking back Gnomeregan and shit)
Now as a final word: I’d like to thank you guys for sticking in the guild and if you decide to leave: good luck and hopefully you’ll be back when we rebuild the guild in Cataclysm. I know I have made some mistakes as GM and might’ve had some arguments with you but hey, as I always said during raids: Nobody is perfect.
Fare thee well! Hitotsu, GM of Humble

(Cueball:)
Greetings,
I’ll just address you separately.
Well, I always expected us to not raid icecrown until cataclysm. Taking a break from raiding is what generally happens before the next expansion.
The plan for this final tier of content was to keep raiding until our members started to slack/quit up to a point where we’d need to recruit too much. This is where we’re at.
There’s no question that we can just recruit people and keep going. The question to ask yourselves here is the following: does that really add value?
We’ve been raiding this place for 6 months if you include the gating system. We’re experienced and geared. Recruiting new people means recruiting people that haven’t even cleared the place fully and have mediocre gear compared to our gear.
They generally haven’t done any 25man hardmodes. The learning process begins as does the gearing up process.
So that takes a few weeks and then we’re back in full force right?
In fact that’s very very unlikely. This isn’t a single event. More and more people will start slacking and/or quitting, which will lead to more recruiting.
I’m not pulling this out of my ass, I know this from first hand experience having been in the council of used to could back when the same thing was happening in TBC.
It wasn’t sunwell though, it was BT. We raided the place for 9 months. We decided to keep recruiting.
When sunwell finally got released, I’m not exagerating when I say that we had less than 10 still actively raiding of our original raiders which we first cleared Black Temple with.
But we’re not used to could?!
That’s right, that was a 5 day raiding guild and the average member in there was quite a bit more hardcore than our members. I do not mean more skilled, I mean they played a lot more.
And there was sunwell to consider. Still, it was a long and tedious stretch of months.
Right now the only incentive is raiding for the sake of raiding.
Realistically I’m confident we could clear every hardmode except the lich king if we kept at it.
And then what? That’s right, then we’re done again.
Now you know my personal motivation for this.
Do I blame anybody for slacking/quitting up to this point?
Of course I fucking do, but not for the reasons you think.
I do not mind if you’re a super asshole most of the time. What I value is loyalty and trustworthiness.
If you just quit or start slacking with no real reason except that you don’t really give a fuck, then that’s disrespectful towards your fellow members and officers. You obviously didn’t give much of a fuck about most of them and/or the guild.
I probably shouldn’t make this too long, though if you want a full rant you can just push my buttons ingame and I’ll start chaininsulting your face.
As a final note I’d like to say that everyone is very very welcome to stick around and stay with us in our all-out casual form until cataclysm.
As hito said, him and I will be hosting one raid per week. Likely on wednessdays.
Mains, alts, socials welcome. The idea behind this is an event per week with no real strings attached, a chance to play your alt in a 25man raid successfully outside of the weekend.
But moreso, keep our guild spirit alive in a casual manner. Keep in touch, and keep playing together.
This isn’t the end, this is a break. A time of casualness.
On the flipside, you’re also free to leave the guild without any hard feelings. Some of you want to keep raiding a lot more than 1 raid per week, or have a bunch of in real life friends somewhere that you’d like to join up with.
When cataclysm will arrive the door will be open to everyone who has been an active raider with us, and we’ll offer the same formula as we did during wotlk.
On a final note, I’d like to give some SPECIAL THANKS CREDITS to some of the members .
I’ll just limit myself to those that are still active as of date.
This isn’t really a fair list, it’s mostly people that I socialized with ingame or that I’ve known for a long time! Or players that are just really nice people.
Steffano, Ravenblack, Imita, Binan, Zgaz( <- INSERT HATE HERE -> )Nimlia, Oldgaf, Trollydolly, Balushi, Fubar, Izuck, Tsak, Penicillium
If you didn’t make this list, chances are that I liked you in a casual way.
Though I really DISLIKED some members.
Should I spill? We’ll leave it a mystery (though it should have been blatantly obvious)
ALWAYS YOURS
THE CUEBALL

I haven't read this all as I'm just too tired (I will tomorrow at work when I'll be getting paid to read it). but I'll be back in cat, and I'd love to raid with everyone again. even cattle.
I hope we can somehow all keep in touch. I think hito was gonna make a facebook group.
also I'll probs stay in the guild cba to raid without you guys.

Just want to apologize for vanishing without saying a word, always disliked it when others did so and now I'm guilty of it myself. Mostly blame not having a forum to post on (!) ...cause logging into wow and saying something takes more effort than I'd like to admit.
My boredom of ICC has grown over quite a long time. Now I've reached a point where I feel I'm not getting enough enjoyment out of it to justify getting less than 6 hours of sleep and such.
Playing casually is not really for me so I will unsubscribe until cata most likely.

Np Shimida, enjoy real life and hopefully we'll see you back in Cataclysm (or earlier!).

The time has come to depart the guild. Ive been with you guys almost 9 months and its been a blast raiding in Humble. Unfortunately cataclysm is 4+ months away and i cannot wait that long to raid again. I will join a newly formed guild with very good progress.
Ive added the majority of ppl from the guild in my friendlist. My alt will stay in the guild in order to learn news of you.
I'd like to thank Hito for accepting me and giving me the chance to prove myself worthy of raiding with you guys.
Also the officers - fellow raiders.
GL with your future plans.
Farewell
Tsak.
